Clarifying on Immigration

Judging from the impassioned response I recently got from a friend of mine regarding my posting on immigration, I'd like to set a few things straight:

1. I am not for amnesty for people who are here illegally.
2. Our borders should be secure. Otherwise, we risk our sovereignty.
3. I think the Pence Plan has potential as a workable solution to the current situation.

Finally, can you blame someone who comes from some poorly fed, poorly run country (yes, even illegally) for a chance to improve his lot in life - especially when American employers knowingly give them work?
